BANNED Finds a New Home at Viewmark

BANNED the Musical is now available on the Viewmark media production site, giving the show a new home online and another opportunity for audiences to discover it. Following Eigg the Musical, BANNED became our second original production to make the journey to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2024. Built around questions of censorship, artistic freedom, and who gets to decide which stories can be told, the show explores what happens when creative expression collides with attempts to control it all through music, comedy, and a healthy dose of irreverence.

Bringing BANNED to Viewmark is part of a larger transition. We’re beginning to move the media surrounding our theatrical productions to the Viewmark production site, creating a central publishing home for performance videos, music, photography, behind-the-scenes material, and the stories of how these shows came together. Theatre is wonderfully immediate, but once a production closes, much of what was created can disappear from view. Viewmark gives us a place where that work can continue to live, be watched, and find new audiences long after the final curtain. As we continue building the Viewmark media library, BANNED becomes another chapter in that collection, preserving where the show has been while giving it a place to keep going.

Because a musical called BANNED probably shouldn’t be too difficult to find. https://www.youtube.com/@viewmark
